BuyLocalAlberta.ca is a community-driven marketing platform that connects local
member businesses with buylocal consumers that believe in strengthening our local
economy.
Who can become a member?
Any local Alberta business, entrepreneur, or organization that supports the Buy Local
movement is welcome to apply for membership.
Why should my business join?
Membership provides increased visibility, promotion through BuyLocalAlberta.ca, social
media exposure, networking opportunities, and the opportunity to be recognized as a
business committed to strengthening Alberta's local economy.
How much does membership cost?
Founding Membership is currently available for $299 per year for the first 25
businesses. After that, the regular annual membership will be $399 per year.
What does my membership include?

Direct link to your website
BuyLocal branding assets
Social media promotion opportunities
Future promotional campaigns
Networking opportunities
Recognition as a BuyLocalAlberta.ca Member
Is there a contract?
No. Membership is renewed annually, and you may choose whether to renew each
year.
Can consumers join?
Yes! Consumers can become BuyLocal Supporters by joining our growing community
and intentionally choosing to support local businesses.
Does BuyLocalAlberta.ca guarantee more sales?
No business can guarantee increased sales. However, BuyLocalAlberta.ca is designed
to increase awareness, improve visibility, and connect your business with consumers
who actively prefer supporting local businesses.
How do I become a member?
Simply complete the online membership application through BuyLocalAlberta.ca. or
contact us for a personal presentation. Once approved, your business profile will be
added to the directory.
Can my business display that we are members?
Absolutely! Members receive digital branding assets and window decals identifying
them as a proud BuyLocalAlberta.ca member.
Why is buying local important?
More Money spent with local businesses circulates within local communities, helping
create jobs, support families, strengthen local services, and encourage long-term
economic resilience.
How can I support the movement if I don't own a business?
Support local businesses whenever possible, Let them know you are a Buylocal
supporter and share BuyLocalAlberta.ca goals with family and friends, follow us on
social media, and encourage others to keep their spending within Alberta.
